At the time, he was directing a minor who had swallowed 60 heroin via WeChat to "detoxify" in the hotel. He is the leader of Ma Zi in the "industry chain" of human possession of drugs.

On November 14, he was 32 years old and sentenced to 15 years in prison, three years in deprivation of political rights, and confiscation of 30,000 yuan in property for the crime of smuggling and transporting drugs.

Shortly before the verdict, Ding Kang was detained in the Nanjing Railway Detention Center for more than 9 months and was interviewed by a reporter from China Youth Daily.

"It's not a matter of losing a thousand dollars"

Ding Kang's hometown is in Shanggao County, Jiangxi Province. As the only child in the family, he is loved by his parents and always does things according to his own ideas. In 2005, Ding Kang was admitted to a "211" college accounting major in Jiangsu. Since then, he has become a "smart child" among the villagers.

Parents want him to be a civil servant after graduation, but Ding Kang doesn't like "stable work", he prefers "challenge". During college, his part-time job was all about sales. He thought he was very good at dealing with people. "It's faster to get money like that."

After graduation, Ding Kang came to a factory opened by a relative in Wenzhou. In 2009, he could earn 10,000 yuan or 20,000 yuan a month, and most of his classmates could only earn 3,000 yuan or 4,000 yuan a month.

But less than a year, he felt that the company was too small to have development space and came to Guangzhou. Ding Kang, who likes bustling life, found an investment company in the center of Guangzhou. Later, he moved to another investment company, but was always dissatisfied with his work.

Since college, he has loved playing cards and playing Mahjong. For him at the time, "losing a thousand dollars is not a thing." When he was in Guangdong, a mahjong pavilion opened in the community. He and the people who set up factories and factories in the community often drank and gambled together. Later, he also met Lu Gang, a habitual drug addict, at a bar in Houjie, Dongguan. Pseudonym). Taking advantage of business opportunities, he often patronized casinos in Dongguan, Shenzhen, Macau and other places.

Police alert drug traffickers to start drug trafficking

In a casino, a friend of his agent introduced him to all-inclusive gambling tickets in Myanmar. In 2015, Ding Kang, who couldn't bear the gambling debts, came to Burma, Myanmar.

Koala is the capital of the 4th Special Economic Zone in the eastern Shan State of Myanmar. The gambling industry is developed here, and Chinese people can be seen everywhere. At the same time, it is also an important channel for the flow of drugs from northern Myanmar to the international market.

Here, he met his girlfriend who opened a casino. Ding Kang turned from a gambler to a casino broker who was responsible for soliciting customers. As long as there is a guest coming, whether it is a round-trip air ticket or a hotel room and board, he will arrange it properly.

Ding Kang told China Youth Daily · China Youth Daily reporter that the commission of casino brokers is very high. If a gambler loses 100,000 yuan, he can earn 40% of the commission, but "there is a lot of worry in his free time." In 2017, when Ding Kang was eating supper, a casino friend told him: "Haoge (Ding Kang's nickname), I have a lot of bugs crawling on my hands."

After questioning, he learned that the younger brother was infected with drugs, and he advised the younger brother to quit. Not long after, Ding Kang was in the casino hotel and found that the gambler instructed people to swallow the broken high-purity heroin in the room. So he called the local police.

At that time, he never thought that he couldn't hold back the huge profits of drug trafficking, and he embarked on the road of drug trafficking. From these drug dealers, he learned that heroin, which costs less than 15,000 yuan, can be turned back more than 10 times after being transported back to the country through possession of drugs in the body.

In 2017, his good friend Lu Gang, who had met in Guangdong before, also often traveled to Myanmar. According to Ding Kang, Lu Gang came from a single-parent family and was brought up by a grandma from an early age. Before he graduated from elementary school, Lu Gang was taken to a shoe factory in Guangdong by his fellow villagers to work as a temporary worker. He was often reprimanded by the supervisor, "it depends on the supervisor's mood."

Usually, they often have time to go to Houjie, Dongguan for drinking and fighting, but also started to take methamphetamine because of curiosity. Introduced by a friend from the bar, Lu Gang arrived in Myanmar and experienced the "noble life" of "everyone sends living expenses, and some people take you to play."

This time, Ding Kang also decided to take the risk and partner with Lu Gang to begin the road of cross-border drug trafficking.

"Give me 1 million and don't swallow that stuff"

Born in 1994, Lu Gang is familiar with the "home" of drug supply in Myanmar. He is responsible for contacting "home" and people who buy drugs. At the same time, he will go to Guangdong with a network to find puppies. Ding Kang borrowed his girlfriend's casino hotel to arrange for Ma Zai to live and eat in Myanmar. At the same time, he was also responsible for training and remote control of Ma Zai's entire "shipping" process. Each time a drug dealer makes a profit, the two are distributed on a pro-rata basis.

Ding Kang claimed that he was born with a lot of secreted gastric juice, and he swallowed the drug to get nausea. "Give me 1 million and don't swallow the thing."

Ding Kang introduced that he is in charge of taking care of these children and taking a video of the poisoning process. On the one hand, it is to promote this and make a lot of money easily. On the other hand, he warns these children not to tell the police to take drugs. Things, otherwise give the video to the police, they have to squat for at least 15 years in jail.

Ding Kang told reporters that he sympathized with the children who swallowed the drug and would persuade them to "go home after making money this time." However, he often encounters children willing to choose this.

According to Ding Kang, he usually arranges for Ma Zi to take an airplane because "it is not easy to be found to carry drugs after passing the civil security check". At the same time, the plane is fast and convenient, which can ensure that the drugs in Ma Zi reach their destination as soon as possible.

On September 17, 2018, Ding Kang had to return to China for the loss of his identity document, which coincided with the arrangement of 16-year-old Ma Tsai to transport drugs from Myanmar to Hunan. He and Ma Zai did not take the same transportation. On the high-speed rail, Ding Kang was seized by the police.

Ding Kang said that after contacting family and friends since Guangdong to Myanmar, he said that he worked as a manager in an investment company in Shenzhen and couldn't go back because of his busy work. In fact, his parents haven't known what he is really doing outside for so many years. Now he said, "I don't want them to come and see me."
